Check out articles on "Best colors for home resale". They seem to be most up-to-date. 'Wheat' seems to the new kitchen color fav. Buttery creams work well in any room Stay light tones, and no 'out of fad' accent walls. I prefer a satin finish on any wall as it gives a glow as the light changes.
Hello Colette; What room or rooms are you looking to repaint, Please??
grey
I would just pick any color that you like, and possibly accent one wall with a darker color. The "in colors" change from year to year. Do you really want to paint every other year? Another tip I found interesting, was from a home and design show called CityLine in Canada. The designer-guest Ray Staples, said that if you look at any current, popular design or fashion magazine on the store rack, you will see the trending colours, and what coordinating colours to use just by looking at the cover!
The brown color family.
Here is a handy color selector from PPG, upload a picture of your room, and then select paint colors and click on the wall it will show you what the room will look like.... https://www.visualizecolor.com/voc#/?projectid=6edcc2e6-61a3-424a-9b47-44c7d6908ad2
