What shade of grey is best with pale pink curtains?

Hello Bernie! A medium-toned gray or blue gray goes very well with pale pink. Pink and gray have often been paired together in fashion and even in cars! When I was young my dad bought a pink and gray two-toned Ranbler sedan, which was the envy of the neighborhood! Great color combination choice for your bedroom!

I choose colors by either taking things I have that the paint needs to go with to the store with me. When that's not possible, bring home many paint cards with the grays that appeal to you. Hold them against the curtains in the room and choose from there.

You want what they call a cool grey like silvery gray not the warm gray with a hint of orange or brown in it.

I would say it depends upon if it is for a girl child or an adult. For a child I would say a lighter soft grey. For an adult, I'd go more dramatic and use a darker grey on one wall, maybe behind the headboard, then lighter grey on the other walls.

I don't disagree with the previous answers I would add that it depends on your overall look,that you want to achieve. It sounds tranquil,but silvery sounds girly and if it's just you and that is your style it would look beautiful but if a man is involved that gives a hoot (mine wouldn't care,it's just a room to sleep in as he would put it) then I would say athat least a grey that you like but 2hues down. That way it's deeper version of what you can compromise. It shouldn't wash out yhe pink it should enhance it,but whatever you do keep in mind that the furniture is light the pink as well and a pale grey would just be blah. Try to play with finishes and hues always. This may mean to keep pink bedding mixed with grey sheets or the reverse in which case you can load up on pillows of both colors and if you sew or at least are willing to iron then you can make your own custom pillows to incorporate both colors in different shades and also paterns. Much more fun especially if you like to add blind or a special message to the mix. Since curtains are pale pink you can still have grey walls and add a third color such as deep purple with grey and pink bedding that would bring out both pink and grey a nice balance. I would not recommend white since this will wash out your pink. I am assuming that you started with the pink because that is a color you love and want to work around. A supper deep grey, slate, would be great those curtains would pop and although the floor sounds light I would have an area rug because they are wood and you don't want scratches, but also it can ground everything and add texture and balance of a dark wall with a light color. You would probably not want anything smaller than 8by 10 ft. I have a lot of ideas I just don't know your style nor your budget and I don't know how much you are into diy. I personally like different things or fabrics for different seasons. A comforter in the winter and a bed coverlet for spring and just a bed spread in summer. And I don't like sticking to one color. Since grey is a neutral then you can put anything you want in there that suits your mood for that time of year if you are like me. I have to have white for spring. It just makes me feel like there is hope that I won't see anymore snow. But I love brown so of course I love that for fall and winter. Summer means outdoors,nature and I love flowers and trees so I go for greens and blues. My hubby can't understand my obsession with bedding,but at least he doesn't have to paint the room over, and that's what's important to him. I can't process sticking with the same bedding for years and years. Not when there is tjmax and marshals not to mention clearance sections of any store that carries linens. It's just another way to express your self,and in the most private room of the home. Can you change the light out or do you love it and it fights the style you want. Do you have night stands with reading lights. See its like a Pandora box the ideas just keep coming. I will stop now but I really love that you are grounding room with grey so that you can then play as the time goes on and change whenever you want to change the curtains or bedding. I actually love grey with beige so the rules have been pushed aside and it's pretty much anything goes. Have fun and only get what you love.

Almost any shade of gray would work so it depends on how you want it to feel. Light gray and pale pink is soft, feminine and works for all ages. Charcoal gray is very dramatic.
