Light warm brown blinds, white cupboards, coerce plus Ivory Coast Oak floor. Am selecting pain colors and laminate counter top by wilsonart. Thanks. Light from east, north and south. South side has enclosed porch.

What about a soft coral or seafoam green? You need a bit of color that isn't in the brown/tan/gray family.

You have a nice palette to work with. Any color will complement what you have now, even a grey with a brown base. But What color do you like, one that makes you happy when you're around it? Use a light shade of that on your walls. For the countertop select a classic top. Going with something trendy will put a date stamp on your kitchen. And congrats on your new look!
Have you considered a bright, lemony yellow or even a softer, butter yellow? It would keep the open feel but it's a great accent color. Especially in a kitchen area.
I would choose any color you love and get paint chips in all shades of that color and pick the shade of your fav color.
