Redesigned Teak Vase Using Wood Icing™ For Texture

Want to add pizzazz to wooden items like cabinet doors, lamp bases and candlesticks? Here's a fun and easy project using Wood Icing™ for cool texture, Graphite Chalk Paint®, and a pretty Royal Design Studio stencil!
Wood Icing™ Textura Paste adds a wonderful raised texture to most any item. Chalk Paint® for color and a pretty floral stencil complete this easy project.
This Indonesian teak vase is a perfect project for Wood Icing™ but you can use other items - trays, furniture, candlesticks, lamp bases, etc. This project is on wood but can be on other surfaces for a different look than this project.
Start with a clean wood item and trowel the Textura Paste through the stencil with a spatula. After it dries, sand and wipe clean.
Paint with Graphite Chalk Paint® mixed with 40% water. Paint on Wood Icing Tree Bark Glaze. When dry, wipe on Annie Sloan Clear Soft Wax and buff.
Wood Icing™ products are sold nationwide in independent shops. Visit for more information.
