We have built-ins on either side of our gray brick fireplace, and I would love to paint the fireplace out in white. However, my husband feels it would be a bad idea.
There is spray paint for vinyl and plastic, go to your neighborhood paint store and they can guide you. The paint needs to have the ability to stretch and move so the paint needs to be specifically blended.
There a spray paints made specifically for plastic and vinyl. Clean the door really well and then paint away. Good luck!
Your best bet might be to use spray paint, to get into all of the slots and grooves. They even make spray paint for plastic, which may be the way to go.
You could purchase spray paint "Krylon" made specifically for plastic. You will need at least two light coats to cover the brown. I would remove the door and paint it outside on a wind free day, but not in the sun.
