Can you spray paint screens

Hi, I am trying to get really comfortable in this rental home. Their isn’t any HOA rules. So I was wondering if I could spray paint my funky looking window screens. By using a matte finish black color?
without them running when it rain?

    Tricky to paint without filling the holes. In any case, you would have to clean them thorougly first. Try cleaning first, that alone might make them acceptable.


    If you do paint, apply very light coats allowing to dry well in between. If you try to put too much paint on at once the paint might fill the holes.

    NO you cannot! It doesn't matter whether there are HOA rules - it depends upon what the homeowner or landlord or management company says. You may lose your deposit if you don't ask.

    Just make sure you are using waterproof paint?

    I've seen painted screens. Don't. Especially if they do not belong to you.

    Make sure you get permission from the landlord for anything you want to do in writing. You could lose your security depost. YES you can paint the screens. Use Rust-Oleum or Krylon spray paint. Several light coats will get you a smooth finish.
