Glass tiles come in many colors and are very trendy. I like white subway tiles, and even they come in various sizes and shapes, plus beveled. A combination of the two may save you money, plus emphasize the glass tiles. Best wishes 😇

White cabinets go with everything, so you can chose any backsplash that works with your countertop, appliances, and flooring. It might help if you post a picture so we can get an idea of your personal style. Do you prefer decor with fresh bright colors, soft calming hues, or dramatic contrasts? Traditional or modern? If you can't post a picture here, you can always look through some inspirations photos on Pinterest or in home improvement magazines and see what appeals to you.

We did our cheap wood cabinets with white gloss, so you can wash it, to get spots off. We removed all the hardware, and painted the doors laying flat. Depending on the hardware, we dipped it in a off gold color, so it didn't look cheap, the handles there is also a gloss for hardware. This takes a enormous amount of time, but the finish look is beautiful. First and foremost wash the doors with Murphy's oil soap, and let dry completely, then paint. Follow the directions on the bottle how to dilute it. Good Luck!

About the backsplash, have it match with the color of the room. You can pick a lot of different ones, the white cabinets gives you more of a selection. Good Luck!

Although painting cabinet doors is a huge fad right now as a way of trying to change the look of a kitchen, I caution you that it is not cheap or fast, and often the end result is disappointing, looks like a botch job, and just is not durable enough to withstand the daily use in a kitchen.

In order to try to do it correctly you must first prep the existing cabinets properly with cleaning and sanding. The job will not be easy if you try to cheap out and use anything less than good quality brushes and rollers, or the correct materials. These are pricey.

You will need a clean dry and wind free place to set up all the doors flat during the waiting to set properly stages of each coat of paint. It will take more coats to fully cover the dark with a white, than it would to cover white with dark.
