Granite countertops - Any idea how it get a nice finish?

Having got my granite countertop installed. I founded it not to be nice n smoothe. It have little crevices around they told to use pledge on it but very disappointed. Any idea how it get a nice finish? Thanks.

Where did you purchase the countertops? The stoneyard polishes the granite to the finish the customer chooses. What did you pick?
Call the Contractor!! - It should be smooth and you should have a warranty!
I agree! The company fabricates the countertop to the customer's specs. Could be the choice of granite you picked. They should be able to come back and polish it if your not satisfied with the work.
Only solution is find a marble/stone company and see if they can grind and polish it and what the cost is.
