How can I paint my mirrored sliding closet doors?

I have a mirrored sliding closet door (2) and I would like to cover the mirrors. I can't afford new doors so I am wondering about painting them.

I would cover them with paintable wall paper and them paint them the same colour as the walls.

Going off of what Mary Anne suggested, you could always go with removable wallpaper that has a pretty pattern on it!

  The closet isn't mirrored, but it still gives you an idea of what it can look like! You should be able to find this type of product at a number of retailers, as well as online. All you have to do is ask/search for removable/temporary wallpaper!
