How do a draw a large oval on the wall?

Darla on Apr 30, 2015If you have any serving platters the right size and shape, just trace them. Another way to make an oval is to trace 2 circles for the narrow ends, and join them with an arc.Helpful Reply

Linda on May 01, 2015using thumbtacks decide how high you want the elliptical place a thumbtack at the highest and lowest points. then find the center between the highest and lowest points make sure the center thumbtack is secure but leave room to secure a string and on the other end of the string secure a pencil now you have the perfect way of following an elliptical scale on the cheap.Helpful Reply

LoriKindler on May 03, 2015Need pliable tubing - think 1 inch conduit pvc piping kind of thing. Make a mark where the END of the arch way is on both sides. Have a person stand an d hold the last 6-12 inches of the end of the pipe on each side. Now push the middle up as far as you want. This should create a natural curve. Make is as deep as you like and trace the arch. This is how we created an archway going into the Kitchen that matched the arch on the opposite wall. Google "drawing an arch" I am sure it will be there. Good luck!1 marked as helpful Reply
