Places like Home Depot and Lowe's have a patching compound made for metal doors. Follow directions on the can.

Auto body patching compound could fill the dents, sand and paint.
Debker and Eva have the right idea. Sand the dents down to bare metal, fill with Bondo (auto body filler), sand smooth, prime and pant
You can buy a two-part auto body filler at the auto parts store to fill the dents. After they dry, sand completely and repaint.
