How to paint above a shower stall?

I have a plastics shower pan and a cathedral ceiling over the shower stall. I'm worried if I put a ladder in the shower stall to paint that the weight of the ladder plus person on it will poke through the shower pan. Do others have this problem? I have not painted my bathroom in over 20 years because of this and peach is so 90's!!

Measure your shower pan. Buy a piece of 1/2" or 3/4" plywood at Home Depot, Lowes, Menards. They can cut it to size. Have them cut it slight smaller than your measurement. Place a blanket over the shower pan then place the plywood panel on top of the blanket. Now you can use the ladder. Please BE CAREFUL. If you have some boards lying around you can make your own panel by nailing/screwing them together. Again BE CAREFUL.

As William Burbank has said get a sheet of 3/4" plywood cut to fit shower tray and you are ready to paint
