It won't do the edges, but an extension pole attached to a standard roller frame will do all the flat parts. Make sure to cover anything you don't want paint on, wear a hat or bandanna or something over your hair, wear cheap safety glasses, and don't roll paint onto the ceiling with your mouth open. Ceiling paint splatters a lot and is NOT delicious.
Hi Toni,
I'm Linda. You can buy painting tools that will fit on a broom type handle. Any local hardware or big box home store should have them. You'll need a ceiling pad so that you can get the ceiling edge and a roller or wall pad (if you like that idea better). The people in the paint departments of these store should be able to find you the tools you need. Wishing you the best.
You can get an extension pole for the paint roller but it's a pain in the neck to constantly refill the roller. Also, cutting in needs to be done up close and personal, so you'll need that ladder. If you don't feel secure climbing a ladder anymore, I suggest you find someone else to paint your ceiling. Painters can be very expensive so I would ask around and see if you can find someone from your church or an organization in your community that can help you with it.
