Would it devalue my fireplace to paint it out in white? It is currently gray brick.
We have built-ins on either side of our gray brick fireplace, and I would love to paint the fireplace out in white. However, my husband feels it would be a bad idea.
yoy can use a brush or roller to pint the wooden part and use a spray paint for the rails. What colo s are you leaning towards?
I would use a very smooth roller so you don't leave marks in the paint. Then put a polyurethane coat over to protect it. As Precious Pins said, spray paint the rails. I would use a contrast color. Depending on the room you plan on putting it in. If it's a living room, muted colors. If it's like a fun family room, vivid colors.
