Metal trash cans make excellent garden planters... put them on a plant dolly to move around.... we are in our late 60s and use the galvanized horse water troughs for our garden.. they can have a shade structure to help in hot sunny climes like here in AZ... they hold sufficient dirt and water.... drill holes in the bottom for good drainage.... we have used them for small citrus trees also.

If you are trying to paint a floor, you could possibly use a roller with a long handle. Little to no bending.

  • That's definitely a job where you need to get down on the floor to do it. You could hire someone, or maybe, a local boy scout troop is looking to do some community service!

  • Have you thought about contacting the local boy scouts? They usually do community service projects.
