What are you asking about? Types of paints to use, finishes of paints such as glossy, matte? Wall preparation? Please give more info so we can help you.
Use latex interior paint in the color and finish you like
Clean your walls well, patch up any holes, then sand them down for a smooth finish. Tape around your wood work, or anything you don't want painted. Preparation takes more time than the actual painting does. Get your paint, roller, brush, lay down some drop cloths, paint does tend to splatter. Start with edging your wall from ceiling to wall with a brush and down the corners, unless you're painting it all the same color. Then go back with your roller and start rolling the paint on. Flat paint is the most forgiving, but harder to clean, satin or eggshell is excellent and easier to clean. Most living rooms, bedrooms are painted in flat, satin or eggshell. Bathrooms and kitchens are semi gloss, much easier to clean. Hope this helps. Also buy a good paint and good brushes, it makes all the difference in the outcome.
We have painted many many rooms in our home. We wash the walls if necessary, fill in holes or areas that need putty, then sand the rough patches if any. Then we prime then paint. Valspar by far is the best paint we’ve used.
