  • Go for it! My friends did a different color in every room, they watched a lot of Sara Richardson on HGTV and liked what she had done and followed suit. It is your home, make it happy!

Hi there, You could use soft cream, buttermilk, Duck egg blue, Silver Grey or maybe Mint green - It's just a matter of taste, and your home should really reflect you..............Have fun!

with the reminder that t=he rooms are limited in sizing, suggest that you use a bright to off-white color. Wall paper might work too, but thry to keep the figures in a smaller category. Too big and the room will shrink.

Spend a little time flipping through old magazines. On your first pass, just mark the pages that you "like" for whatever reason. On your next pass, start noting colors. What are the colors that draw you in, that make you feel good? Choose your top three. Then use these for your paint-job. As Franklinrawley notes, your rooms are limited in size, so you want to stay on the light side of each color. For example, if you really love a sage-green, you can have it mixed lighter, and use that. If you stick with the same three shades, and then use those for your accents (pictures on the wall, sofa-cushions, even kitchen-utensils), you'll get a really serene, coherent effect where everything "goes together." Have fun!
