Tips for Painting linoleum floors?

We have hideous bathroom floors.
Mom totally new to DIYing
& I’m on a budget
im scared to start
any advice?

I painted my bathroom floor. It had old linoleum in it. First I cleaned the floor w/soap and water.Then I sanded the floor , then I primed with an oil based Kilz, then painted with a porch and floor paint. I still need to seal it with a floor seal sealer. I also added some stencils on it ( some leaves 🍁 in different shades of gold and green)
For us it’s a temporary fix until we have saved the money for a new floor . It sure looks 1000 times better than the old floor did !!!
