I would go with a cream color like maybe khak. Or if you want to go the bolder route go with a timberwolf gray, and brighten the room with colorful accent piece.
What color are the floors, curtains and woodwork in the room?
Hi Carla, Gray is wonderfully neutral. It will look great with several different colors, so you need to take your furnishings and decor style into consideration and what the function of the room is. If you want a dramatic, more formal feel, go with your darker rich colors, like dark gray's, black, deeper blues. If you want a light care free feeling room, use more muted tones. If you like a clean comfortable look, go with white. Here's a link with some ideas. https://www.pinterest.com/explore/fireplace-accent-walls/?lp=true
Have fun!
boil some basil before venturing out, let cool, rub into skin after washing up after picking. works for bee stings too, make a paste, apply to injury after removing the stinger of course.
I think a nice robins egg blue would look beautiful.
There are a lot of considerations: How much light does the room get? As Steven asked: What are the other colors in the room? Ultimately though, it's up to your taste. Grey is about as neutral a color as there is. I can't think of any that wouldn't
"work".
Having said that. A creamy yellow would be lovely.
Yes you can go with pretty much any color to match the grey fireplace. Just match your furnishings in the room. I'm thinking that you could paint the mantle. I could see it maybe in a darker blue with a lighter shade of blue on the walls.
What about a lovely dark blue like Hale Navy?
What other colors are you using in the room? Gray is pretty neutral, so almost any color would work.
What are your accent colors? PIck one of those. Go get paint samples and tape them up next to the fireplace and see what looks best in all different lighting.
White with a touch of any colour you choose, or Silver grey (Paler than Bricks)
Please, no more gray, get some color palettes that pick up the accent pieces in the room.
That's a very neutral fireplace so anything would work but I would be partial to something like a teal.
