What do I use to protect and seal bookcase painted with chalk paint?

I recently painted a bookshelf with gray chalk paint and want to distress it. What should I use to seal it to protect the chalk paint and distressing without making it too shiny?

Any brand of clear sealer should seal it .... the shine depends on the finish you buy... matte or satin have the least shine
You can lightly sand corners or other places where “wear” can be and apply wax and then polish

Rustoleum has a good matte topcoat that will work.

I’ve heard polyethylene top coats will yellow. What type of wax would be recommended?
I ‘ve only used Annie Sloan - there are two clear and dark , it all depends on what effect you want.
