You will need to prime the dry wall first. use a good moister resistant primer and Paint. I would then use a paint with either a stain or Semi-gloss finish. The semi-gloss will hold up better and give easier cleaning. the higher the gloss the easier cleaning and better moister resistance. As a former paint salesman I recommend Behr brand paint,its the best you can buy. Behr is sold at Home Depot (PA area ) and other stores in different parts of the country.
I agree totally with Lonny! I love Behr paint and I have painted all my bathrooms with it. I always use semi-gloss in the bathrooms for the extra washability.
semi gloss or gloss is best for bathrooms. With new sheetrock I would prime first
I agree with Lonny. Only use a bathroom paint.
I like Kitchen & Bath either satin or semi-gloss finish.
