What is the best way to paint a dresser

    some disassembly may be required- remove the drawers and the remove the hard ware from the drawers. occasionally the drawer front may be in 2 parts.. the face, and the box. if the drawer box is in good shape i wouldn't paint them.. humidity can make them stick. dont paint any drawer rails either. the rest- clean...any stains get a stain blocking primer. you might do a light sanding to help the primer/paint adhere better. paint the exterior of the dresser only.

    sand off any shine, wipe it down, use a satin finish water based paint and add a bit of plaster of Paris to it. It makes “chalk paint” look, and finish or distress as desired then wax it or apply a finish
