Gloss or maybe Satin, but rub down and prepare first

Really you will spend more on the paint, then buying a new one.

For your safety & that of your guests.... purchase a new one. Effort, energy & time saved. Imagine all your choices...

I agree with buying a new one for hygienic reasons, and durability. I have however, seen some odd sized toilets, so perhaps that is your case, and seats cannot no longer be found.

I had to spray paint my flusher handle because it had yellowed from being in direct sun. I accidentally got some on the seat, and it wouldn't budge. I would sand the seat, and use spray paint primer and a good quality spray paint over top. A clear coat would probably help too.
