Hi friends! Did you see my previous post - the pallet coffee table? Well for this post, I’m going to show you how I painted the casters for that table - in just a few minutes!

The wheels started out boring black, and I wanted them to match the metal tray a bit better.

I gathered a few paints from the garage…

I then grabbed a plastic bag. Nothing special - just the kind you get at the grocery store. I wadded it up in one hand and sprayed a light layer of silver tone paint with the other hand.

Working very quickly, I used the plastic bag and dabbed at the paint, which lifted some of it off.

I then added a light layer of brown paint.

I dabbed that off, too.

After a few quick layers, I had my desired affect.

You can view my tutorial on the coffee table to see how I attached them.

I love our new table! What do you think? Are the wheels better painted?

I once painted an entire metal bed this way and it came out so beautiful!

Thanks for tuning into my Hometalk Channel. I hope this inspired you! I believe it’s the extra little details that make a piece really special.
