SO MUCH CLUTTER!! This is a common complaint I hear from homeowners. Kids rooms seem to be the biggest culprits. Parents don't want to take away their children's fun and creativity, but they don't know how to take control of their mess. This is a great easy DIY if you need some organization in your home (and life).
Measure the wall. I wanted to the whole wall to be covered so I measured the length by width and divided it into 3 separate sections. I made my lines with a pencil along the entire wall to separate them from one another.
I called a couple sheet metal manufacturers. I told them what size I needed and picked it up the same day.
I pre-drilled my holes and screwed the steel in the wall
I then went along the pencil marks (where I had measured evenly and divided into 3 separate sections) with painters tape
Paint the section any color you want. I ended up changing this paint color in her playroom without any hassle.
I then painted chalkboard paint on the remaining section.
To frame, I used molding from Lowes going horizontally and vertically to separate the sections and finish off the look.
Then I just used s hooks and twine to hang up her artwork.
This was the finished look
and a year later...this is what it looks like now. Still, fully functional and an easy way to stay organized.
