After thirteen years I wanted to change the border of vegetable decals I had placed on my kitchen wall. I was very pleased with the outcome.
Border of vegetable decals
There were 19 of these decals measuring 4x9 and covered the 15' kitchen wall.
The decals were very thin and I was sure paint would cover each one and tested this theory on one decal to make sure the paint would cover before proceeding.
Testing the paint on the decal
Knowing they would be covered with dust etc.  I used warm soap and water to wash each one. After cleaning each decal with warm soap and water I tested the first decal to make sure the paint would cover.
Painting the decal
I then applied 2 coats of paint (same color as the original wall.)I placed two coats of paint on each decal waiting 30 minutes between coats.
The finished project.
The third coat of pain was applied over the entire top of the wall to give it an
overall appearance. After making sure the paint was completely dry I painted the entire top of the wall to give an all over even color.  The total time spent on this project was approximately four hours allowing dry time in between.  I’m very pleased with the outcome.
