You asked if we also had trouble with paint colors, I love color. I've spent to long playing it safe with neutral colors,I wasn't happy. This is our second home and this one has starting to get color. I want to walk in and feel like this is me. I really want to go crazy on first floor but am sticking with 3 colors of nature all are equally favorites of mine. So far I have organic green in "L" shaped living and dining room with white shaker style trim not mitered corners, just very simple and baton board in dining room. I had a great handy do it all man who started out with are you sure to putting it on his Facebook page for work and has since redone 3 rooms into this shade of green. My other 2 colors are blue and brown. Yes I love brown it makes for a cozy warm room so staircase will be blue. Not sky blue but a dusty navy with no violet tint. I will also have blue in the hallway leading into kitchen then as you turn left is the family room that will be brown. It will pick up all the beautiful hickory cabinets and counter top. Up stairs the hallway will be a continuation of the bright white ceiling over staircase. The bedrooms for now will stay as is since my adult children will move out and we have plans for the rooms. One will be brown because it will be a true office. So to answer your question nope. I am living my life now for me,it took a long time to do this but we finished paying old house off and was never happy and I never hung up not one picture with the exception of the one over the fireplace and it was to cover up the nail or screw there. How sad ,right? So we pay this mortgage why live that way?

I am building a lake house this spring. I have been going over paint colors for a while. I like all of these colors together and may use this plan to paint my rooms!!!!
