I used to be, until I learned the sky won't fall if I don't wash that last dish..I give myself two chores a day. No more. Leaves me plenty of time to get a cuppa coffee and read hometalk 😇Helpful Reply -

You can space the chores out over a week. Dust and vacuum on the same day. Maybe wash the floors the next day. Laundry and dishes to be done when there are enough to wash. Other chores when time permits.Helpful Reply -

It probably depends on what your standards are. I don't really like to do cleaning any more and so I let a lot slide. But today I noticed dust on a leather sofa. I will take a wet rag and wipe all over that sofa. I think doing minimal work but more often is the key.Helpful Reply -

Make cleaning a game. For really dirty or cluttered rooms, I set a timer or try to do a certain amount during the length of a song. I also play the "numbers game"--- I decide how many items/tasks it takes to get a room cleaned or decluttered (how many items need to be put away) and see if I can do it under that amount. I also try to do one full room at a time, but really clean it. If you try to do too much you risk giving up.Helpful Reply -

Keep telling yourself that a tidy house is worth the trouble. Once it is clean, sit down with a glass of wine or something else you enjoy and look at your nice, clean house!Helpful Reply -

Clutter stresses me big time. I try to clean at least one room a day. Just rotate in between rooms. Just got done organizing my kitchen. Started by working on the pantry first. Then moved on to cupboards. Finally tackled the refridgerator and oven. Tomorrow is the day to vacumm the entire house and mop and dust.Helpful Reply -
