You came to my rescue with the last question I had on a vintage find I had...I figure I would try it again! Florade Soda was made by NEWGATE GINGER ALE Company Inc. in Thompsonsville, CT. I have three un-opened bottles and an awesome old wood soda case box. I have three flavors of this soda, Birch Beer, Lemon & Lime Soda and Cream Soda. I found a tiny bit on the Newgate company and they made the ginger ale in the 1940s...but that is all I know! See the photos for more info! THANK YOU FOR ANY INFO YOU SUPER RESEARCHERS CAN GIVE ME!!!!!

Well, I can not find any info on it at all on the internet. I did find one record that the company that made it, Newgate Ginger Ale Company out of Thompsonville, CT had benzoate in their ginger a le and were not showing that on the bottles. But nothing about Florade at all...what years was it made at the least??? Just really curious!

What does it say under Florade on the label? How do you know it was made by Newgate?

I think Florade is just the brand name used by the Newgate Ginger Ale Company - The year was 1940 and Harry Squires made his living as owner of the Newgate Ginger Ale Company in Enfield as soda-bottling businesses ran rampant here in ...link does not work so could not find anything else - bottles have ACL applied colour labels - the fact they have never been opened and that are in great shape should make them highly collectible - try ebay to sell
