Anybody know what these would’ve been used for??
My niece found these in a local antique store and purchased them as bookcases for her sons room. Does anybody know what they originally would’ve been for? They look like something from a church to me.

Hi Gracie,
Your picture did not come through with your question.
Need a photo.
Sorry about that.
Haven't been able to find anything similar. They look like antique gothic cabinets. Maybe French or English. Best bet would be to have an antique dealer that deals in furniture to look at them. Even a reputable auction house. You may have a treasure. Some thing like Antiques Roadshow appraisers.
Ooops! The photo needs to be added.
Very interesting, was wondering if there are any identifying marks or lettering somewhere on them. Have you checked the bottom, the back, and even the hardware for clues?
I agree, they do have a church look about them, from years back they remind me of the architecture and style of a church I belonged to.
I’ll ask her - she’s in another state.
