Cabin interior help- your thoughts?
hello! Looking for a paint refresh at our lake cabin - the current paint is looking dated and scuffed.
my thought was to do walls in a light cream or gray, trim that is currently painted dark green in white and not sure about kitchen cabinets (counters are a brown and black speckled granite).
would love your help choosing!
thank you!

maybe white or or gray depending on the wall color
you could paint the beams or ceilings or both a lighter color - you could use grays, blues, light greens or even white depending on what you like
Could you leave the ceilings as is and paint the rest? This link has so good paint colors that go with lots of other shades

Hi Mary, Your cabin is gorgeous! I would NOT let paint touch the wood ceiling or beams. The walls would look beautiful in a creamy white with trim and cabinets in a slighty deeper tone of the same color. You will find the right colors on color samples from a paint store. Just go a couple of levels lighter or darker to bring some interest between the walls and trim/cabinetry. A creamy white will be welcoming and cozy and also work well with your counters. You could then bring in some accent colors you love with decorative pieces and rugs. I personally would stay away from the greys because of your beautiful wood ceiling and stairs.
I'm thinking a cream color and add a glaze to the cabinets.
I would go with a nice gray white with no purple undertones.Gray has lots of different undertones, get either blue or green undertones in the gray paint.
Beautiful room. Do not touch the ceiling. I would consider doing the walls in a soft white like the color vanilla and the cabinets and island and trim in a warm brown. Try to use the colors that are in your stone fireplace to make the eating area more included. If you don't need the shelf units by the fireplace I would remove them, paint the shell of the cabinets and stack firewood and/or fireplace utensils there.
Your cabin is beautiful and a cream color would look amazing!
Gorgeous! I wouldn't touch the ceiling or the beams.I would go with a warm cream color on the walls and extend the same color on the cabinets. Trim in white. What a lovely home...
Paint everything white and keep sealing stained. including the stairs
Yes cream color maybe do one wall with a diffrent accent color like the steps
Hello. A cream or a light gray would be very trendy. We also have a log cabin at our late lakefront location and too much wood can be very dark and depressing. Our previous homeowners install paneling over the cedar log and painted it for a room brightening feature and we really appreciate what it does..
Why not go Cream or Grey to match the walls or go for wood look!
I would white wash the wooden ceiling in between the beams. That would lighten the area. You could then paint the wall white. You could add color and personality with items like pictures, plants, art, etc.
If you white wash the wood the texture will still show thru but you will still be adding light to the area.
Something like a cream color would definitely work.
