Clean this dryer from acetone spill?

I would call or go to website of the mfg of your machine and ask them what to do as well they may have a better solution

Have you tried rubbing it gently with rubbing alcohol to see if that removes it?

1. Apply some of the dishwashing solution with a white washcloth to the acetone residue and for a few minutes, work in gently from the edges of the spill to the center. Don't rub. Continue until the spill is completely removed.
2. Blot the liquid up with another white cloth for as long as it absorbs the acetone solution. You may have to repeat the process until the acetone solution is completely removed.
3. Rinse the area thoroughly with cold water to remove all detergent residue when the spill is completely removed. Blot with a dry towel to remove all moisture. Ensure nobody walks on the area until it is completely dry.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that, Mallory. I did a quick search on google and this site is pretty comprehensive when it comes to acetone - https://how.co/ht/meet-how-to-remove-acetone-residue-31403/. I agree with Cheryl. Give the manufacturer a call and see what they say. I'm sure it's not the first time it's happened.

If the acetone spilled and the enamal started coming off and dripped down, then why not try acetone to remove the enamal that is now on the glass?

I agree with Maura White. Use acetone to remove the steaks on the steel and glass door. It's the porcelain enamel coating that streaked down. Labels were destroyed by the acetone. You will need to fabricate your own. You might find stick on letters at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. If your handy with a steady hand you can write in the letters with a fine tip Sharpie. If you have a computer and printer you can print your own labels on clear mailing label sheets. Whether you stick on letters, write with a Sharpie, or print labels use some clear nail polish as a clear coat to seal and protect.

I would contact the manufacturer before doing anything. They will give you the best method for dealing with this problem.

Hello. I use acetone soaking baths to remove glitter on Dollar Tree glittered items. It dissolves glue but does not harm the plastic molds beneath. I would call the manufacturer as suggested to find out about the discolored parts reaction to the acetone and how they suggest to remedy.

Since it dies not seem to harm some plastic

Wash it down immediately to try to stop the corrosive action. The marks made may never come off because Acetone removes plastic. You may have to buy a replacement door, or you could try to use a Spray paint Mirror or Chrome finish to restore the silver parts, The Porthole maybe could be painted, but then you won't be able to see the washing.

I would use more of the acetone and a very soft cloth to try to remove the stains. Work from the outside of the stain toward the middle. It seems counterintuitive but often removing like with like works!

The labels you might be able to get new if you call the company they might send them. To you .have you tried to clean it with any thing .Alcohol should clean it off but try in a tiny spot first so not to mess up anything else if it is no good try Clorox cleanup to clean it off with a scrubby.

i would call manufacture for solution but if that doesnt affect your machine they would most likely say cover with transfer
