Cleaning faux wood blinds

We have a house FULL of faux wood blinds, 3 shelties and a cat.... Is there ANY easy way to clean the blinds? The ends of the blinds are not "finished" and I've been told not to soak them, or apply water. Any useful suggestions are welcome!

For dusting I use my vacuum with first the blinds turned down and then up as far as they'll go so I can clean both sides. For actually cleaning I wipe each slat with a slightly damp cloth (no soap) and then dry them.

Someone suggested to me to put on a glove and dust with your hand. Sounds like it would work much better than a duster.

You may vacuum on both sides of blinds, and then follow up with an athletic sock over your hand, slightly damp, with warm soapy water if necessary, or furniture polish. Good luck!

Thanks, folks! These are all good suggestions, and they all do work. I guess I'm looking for a miracle! With 18 windows that are 5-6' in length, I'm looking at a lot of dusty slats. I think I've just got to break it down, and do a few at a time....problem will be a revolving project! I do appreciate your suggestions.
