How can I finish my ceilings and walls?

In Texas I have enclosed Piers and beams to make a rooms & bath..ran out of $$ after insulating ..now I have cover ceilings & walls with painters drop cloth..any other inexpensive ideas to replace the drop cloth? Tired of it after 15yrs of it..
