@Dee Thank you I was told that if it was navy or dark blue. I am hoping its navy as it is not every day you get the offer of a free lounge suite:)

Easy way to blend together....add some pillows or a throw blanket to the lounger to blend with the curtains. Bring in other accessories to place throughout the room to match both colors. Maybe add a "pop" of boulder color.....maybe orange????? Depends on what kind of a mood you want throughout your room...or mellow it with white?

I agree with Sandra...most any colors can be blended together by finding material that includes the colors you want to blend! Use the material to make sofa pillow covers for existing pillows, dollies, valances, etc. A quick trip to a hobby store for vases, and silk flowers that contain both colors and viola!

If it is really a nice suite, I would change the curtains if you have to. Use them in another room. But if navy, it will look beautiful.

If the shade of blue is dark it will look lovely. You can add some burgundy cushions to blend the colour scheme together and add some dark blue accessories here and there.

Maybe a plaid, a stripe and a flowered pillow with your colors to tie it all together...if you can't find them the fabric store and a simple pillow case style or bow style is easy!

I'm hesitant to post my opinion but I think that those colors together do work however I personally think it's a bit of a dated color combination. Not saying you couldn't make it work and be pretty but I would maybe think about changing out the curtains.

Both a Navy blue and a burgundy would be considered "winter" and gem color and would go together perfectly, of course I've been told burgundy goes with anything except orange haha

At the risk of looking patriotic don't balance the amount of blue and burgundy. and for goodness sake don't make you dominant color white! You would be making a good decision to play up one of the colors, and make the other an accent with frames, vases, artwork, and throw pillows, for instance the burgundy. Then choose a cool grey palette for your walls and trim....the cool, blue greys will blend the blues of the furniture superbly....and you could consider some use of dramatic BLACK! suzenbe@yahoo.com
