No! but when you look back you will be able to see what it was. Everything you do and everyone you meet has a reason, and ours is not to know the reason or the why, ours is to do the very best we can and be the very best we can, for there is for each of us a Purpose. All Great Men and Women have Mothers and Fathers, sisters and brothers that know one has heard of, but there purpose was just to be who they are and were. If you are looking for a calling or purpose you may like to contact a Charity organisation, where I am certain they will welcome you with open arms.

Absolutely not and you probably should not expect to find it in this lifetime . Just be the best person you can be.

  • Nope, I sure do not and for my age, you would think I would have an idea by now! 😆 Work and chores and taking care of the pets . . . That's about it!

yes, its to make life as pleasant for your fellow humans as possible. Making money I fine as long as it helps you with that mission. Love one another

Hi J, I'm not sure all people do! I think one needs to look deep in their being to discover what truly makes them happy. My purpose is "Caretaker". Not just a mom or in the literal sense. I am a jack of many trades and seem to help people/animal and care for them when they need me.

So, take a good look at yourself, what skills (gifts) you've been given, your desires, your life experiences and see where your journey comes back to.

    Good luck with you journey~

According to my Mom, my job was to be the horrible example. I'm not saying I was her problem child.....just saying.

It is heartening to read these responses. It sounds like we all (or at least people participating in this group,) want to do and be helpful and good. The DIY aspect to this is . . . think about a DIY project that will give you pleasure to create, fulfill a need for others, (even if it is only a visual satisfaction to them) calm you, center you, making you pleasant to be around. Lots of things delight others. You can inspire others to be creative too. Just think of the delight you get seeing a new house go up, seeing someone re-paint worn furniture, seeing some one repurpose things. My daughter is a costumer, my husband an artist. It gives great pleasure to others to see what people can create or even just think of!

Thanks for the memories, that one is also familiar to me. We must be related if not in this life in a past. And I too like to sew for my boys and feed the birds and animals. If I had more money to spend I would take in more strays. But it does not help them if I do not have the funds they need. My moto has always been "Do everything with Love".
