command hooks are great for hanging wreaths and won't hurt your door there are also wreath hangers that come in metal, plastic, etc you hang and put your wreath on

Command Hooks would work well for your wreath, be sure to get the right strength. There are plastic wreath hangers that go over the door to attach your ribbon.

I have a heavy-duty magnet for use on a metal door.

What I do is use a command hook on the opposite side of the door and attach a ribbon to the wreath and go over the top of the door. Use the command hook upside down and it can be removed when not in use. I leave mine because I change out my door wreaths with the seasons.

I suggest to make use of command hooks. They will pretty well.

I use command hooks myself, and they work great.

Use clear fishing line attached to a thumbtak at the top of the door. The thumbtack is small enough not to affect the door closing well. Just measure to cut the clear line to the appropriate length.

Hang a command hook on the inside of the door, upside down. Run your ribbon through the wreath and make a large loop. Lay ribbon flat on the door top and hook the loop on the inside of the door on the hook.

Your local home improvement store will have a large flat hook that goes over top of the door and hangs down the front, no damage to the door at all. You can also find them online.

I purchased a large suction cup with a hook on it specifically for hanging wreaths. I found it in the floral department of the hobby/craft store. It stayed in place and I never had issues with it. Hope this helps!

I use a Command Hook upside down on the inside of my door. run the ribbon over the top of the door, tie a knot and hook it onto the hook.

Tie a piece of ribbon on it and take it over the door and put a weight on the ribbon to counterbalance the weight of the wreath.

Hello. Placing a substantial thumbtack (Dollar tree supplies are pretty wimpy) at the top edge of the door has always been my solution you can run a fishing line or a piece of thin wire or jute twine down to suspend your your wreath in a loop fashion. Actually you can decorate both sides of the door in this manner.

I use a thumb tack to attach the ribbon to the top of the door. It doesn't cause a problem when you close the door.
