How do i place my bed in front of my closet for more space?
I have a loft and the upstairs is extremely small and shaped odd. There is only one normal way to place my queen size bed. However if I could place it where the hear board in a sense blocks the closet it would entirely open up the room for way more space and actually use my night stand. The doors to the closet need to be removed because they are broken anyways. Is there a stylish way to do this?

How to create privacy for a loft?
My bedroom upstair is a loft style. From the stair rail to the ceiling is open. I like to put something to provide the privacy but not blocking the light.
You could remove the door knobs and hang a curtain over the area so that it gives the appearance of a window behind it.
you could add a curtain to the closet but how will you get in and out of the closet if your bed is in front of it?
I would remove the broken doors and add curtains. If the bed can be placed away from the closet enough to walk behind it, you should be fine.
If you posted a picture or even a hand drawing of the area we could provide better answers sort of hard to imagine what you are referring to. If you only have a loft why not just get a smaller bed?
You could remove the closet door(s) and install a drapery rod and nice-looking draperies to close off the items housed within the closet. It could look quite elegant, depending upon the fabric, etc. You first might want to go through alll the items in the closet and remove items that are used often and place them in drawers or another easy to access area for your convenience. The space gained by doing this could then serve as a storage are for seldom used items. Some often used items could be stored beneath the bed in shallow pull-out boxes.
Hi Stephanie,
From your description of the bedroom it is hard to envision what your room looks like. Please post a picture so that we can see exactly the space you have to work with.
Please post a picture of your space so we can see what you see and offer the best advice.
You could use the vinyl curtains that slide across for a door so you could open it and put wheels on your bed to roll it out of the way
I've seen where people build a false wall behind the bed leaving a pathway..... so you would have to either remove the closet doors or make sure they are sliding ones https://www.pinterest.co.uk/hayleyaskew/false-wall-behind-bed/
Hi Stephanie, sliding doors or curtains would be an option, but you will lose some closet space at the bottom that will be blocked by the bed. Do you have space under your bed to store those items that you won't be able to get to?
Can you place your bed in front of the closet? Remove the doors and replace with curtains. This way the curtains could be the backdrop for your bed. (Providing you can still use the closet)
Perhaps you can use the upper portion of the closet for storage.......??
I use curtain panels with ring clips all the time. I would mount a rod outside the closet, pick a fabric you like - or a sheet or table cloth - and get ring clips that fit on your rod and clip them to the fabric. it will look like a headboard or an accent wall. Just make sure your fabric is wide enough to shir or pleat otherwise it won't look right. Here's an example on a table -https://www.exquisitelyunremarkable.com/2014/11/ring-clip-skirted-table-easy-diy.html
Is the Closet fitted into the wall. Could you totally remove it and fit hooks or a Closet somewhere else in the room?
You could cover over the opening in a fashion that extends the look of your headboard.
