Newbie here. Accidentally found this site. Where to begin?

That's how I found it too. Just play around on the site when you have time. Did you sign up for the daily or weekly emails yet?

If I know what I want to do, I use the search at the top left. Otherwise, I click on Explore Projects. Be careful because you could spend hours just browsing

Hi Julia, Isn't it the best site ever? I'd just start by browsing through some of the posts. At the top of the home page there's a blue-outlined box where it says something like "What's your next project"....just enter a word you're interested in such as "wreaths". You'll be amazed at all the projects that will pop up for you to look through. Then, if you want to post your projects or work there's an area to do so. Welcome to the site and I look forward to seeing you post.

Just continue to come here and give suggestion to others and ask any questions that you need help with. There are a couple of ways to search for a project. The upper left has a search you use with key words, the upper middle right has a search by categories. In the upper right you will see a circle that should have the picture you see next to your name, that has a drop down that will take you to your saved projects, etc. Next to that you will see a bell, possibly with numbers over it. That will take you to an area that will show you any comments on discussions, projects or likes for comment you have given others. Please post some of your projects, we love to see them! If you have any other questions about the site, all you have to do is ask and we will try to help you as much as we can to find what you need. Welcome to the Hometalk community! I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. If you want to save a project you see, you will see at the bottom of the window, while you are on the project, that asks if you want to save the project. You can save all that you want.

I like to scroll from project to project and mark the ones I want to save for later. Welcome to the group and enjoy!
