Holy moly . . . Lot going on there. Might have been a saltbox at one time with some "creative" additions. That chain link fence has got to go. It devalues the property. If you need a fence, go with a picket fence. One with an arbor at the entrance with climbing roses. And add architectural detail on the face of the siding.

This smacks of a Sears Roebuck Kit Home, a blend of some of the versions with a creative addition or so. Do you know what year this was built?

It is a Dutch Colonial. The break in the roof (it is called a gambrel roof like a barn’s roof) is what makes it a Dutch Colonial. The additions are a bit unfortunate, but with some creative carpentry might be made to blend a little better. You might contact an architect for some ideas.

Clearly, your home has undergone many changes over its lifetime. It appears the front was once an open porch that was enclosed at some point. Do you know when it was built?

Could you add more photos from different angles, including some interior shots, especially of the attic?

And regarding the fence, follow zoning and needs. If you need a chain link fence to keep in a pet or kids, keep the fence. In my area, if your fence is over 4' tall, it has to be chain link.

Here is some information about Dutch Colonial homes. What makes the homes look interesting is the addition above the porches of both homes and the stucco looking finish and the blocks on the corners. The way the upper additions come out from the front of the house doesn't quite keep with the style of a Dutch Colonial. The addition work must have been done about the same time because of the corner blocks and the stucco looking finish. Whew that's got alot going on, doesn't it! Most definitely some creative inspiration but I'd worry what's supporting it like that.

The front covered extension ? What’s supporting it? Oh those black pipe looking things are metal pillons. The inside is interesting but also redone!! 2 drop ceilings. I went under and found the corners of the livening room dining room has curved corners
