Statue cleaner

I had an angel in the garden. This was the first year for her. Upon bringing her in, I washed off the loose dirt but, the bottom where she stood in the dirt looks stained from standing in the dirt. Does any one know what I can clean that stain off with? I've decided to keep her inside from now on. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can you tell what she is made of? I have one and she is 2' tall holding a bird in one hand.Mine stays outside year round. I am not sure what she is made of. I gave her a good coating of high gloss white paint last year and she looks much better.I stand her on two concrete stepping stones, stacked one on top of the other.I keep silk flowers around her base and this helps to keep the dirt off of her when it rains. I have a problem with aphids and they tend to turn her dark gray. Thus the reason for the paint. This pic is before I painted her.Best of luck to you! http://cdn.hometalk.com/resources/user_media/max/640x640/oumggmh6hewnplw2ydyy516d0b2e6ea34.jpg

It could depend on what she's made of Carolyn, but my guess is no mater what it is, you could use either a Magic Eraser sponge, a regular sponge and baking soda and hydrogen peroxide mixture (to the consistency of soft scrub) or steam if you have a hand held steam cleaner with a brush attachment.

I thought about using something like that but, thought I would get some expert opinions before I did anything. You all have been a godsend to me before. I sure will give it a try and post what happens. A GREAT BIG THANKS.

    • @Carolyn can I suggest that for next year find or buy a concrete stepping stone or find a flat rock to put her on. I have all my statues on bases so that they dirt does not do this. Good luck!

Thanks. Great idea. But, I think she will be staying in the house from now on. I have found a great place for her in the living room amid some flowers. She really looks nice there. After I get that off her, she will be prettier then before. I do have two others out there. They are a little boy and girl. They seem to be from the same material. I usually just hose them off and put in garage. They sit among the flowers with a very large bird house behind them. The garden would look strange without them. I may get the blocks so they can stand taller. If this cleaning works on her, I will check to see if it will work for them. I do appreciate all the suggestions I have received. Sure going to give it a try. When I do, I will post the results on here. You all are best. I am blessed to have friends like you all.

@Carolyn, oh dear. That's got to be rough. Two of my cousins have recently found out for the second time each that they to have cancer again. It's such an evil disease. I'll be praying for you. God bless you.
