We're remodeling my boyhood home!

John
by John
I inherited the house where I grew up, when my mother died. My Lady Friend has a house in a less-than-spectacular neighborhood, so we're remodeling the inherited house so she can move there. We've had the floors refinished, the house rewired, the drywall patched, the windows replaced, the bathroom rearranged, 2 large, old trees removed, & a termite infested beam replaced. She's been working on painting the walls & stripping doors. We still have the kitchen to redo & some work outside (replace & enlarge the driveway & add a storage shed).

Sounds great. Bet you can't wait to get those blah jobs done so you can get to the TaDa! Jobs. You know them bits of decorating that takes time to complete but when you do you can stand there arms outstretched an say TA DA!!. Good luck with the rest of your adventure.๐Ÿ”จ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒˆ

  • Awesome! It is a lot more work than people think, even if you hire people to perform certain aspects of the renovation. I did the same thing with my childhood home and it took a lot of time and money, but it was all worth it in the end. Please take a few pictures and post so we can cheer you on!
