That's a very broad question because there are so many different answers for every room. The best answer I can give is to declutter. Go through room by room and only keep the things you truly need and really like. Find a home for the things you keep and keep them in their home. I find labeling helps, especially if you don't live alone. If it's labeled it cuts down on others putting things where they don't belong.

3 piles of stuff. 1 pile to save, 2 donate, and 3 to throw away. There the job is done. don't forget to have a few friends over to help and don't forget to serve snackss.

I love going to Dollar Tree and picking up containers For organization. I also save jars from baby food, sauces, pickles, etc. The different sizes allow me to store a variety of things, and they are so pretty!

there are a couple of theory's, keep like with like items,or point of use. i.e. all linens in 1 central linen closet vs. linens for each bedroom in the bedroom under bed or in closet.

i prefer point of use-it may mean having a duplicate item around- a pair of scissors by the chair to clip coupons, scissors by the couch for embroidery projects. i think it's less time consuming than having to hunt an item down.
