  I meant in terms of lap top. I don't want to spend a lot of money at first. All I have now is an iPad with 16gb

All you need is a basic laptop with sufficient memory to run PhotoShop (great images will make you or break you), MSWord or the likes and really good, high speed internet access. Make sure you LOVE the keyboard. You'll spend a lot of time on it. A WordPress platform is free (don't use the .org version, use the .com). I recommend ThemeForest for a wide variety of themes and other goodies.
