I like to donate to Salvation Army and/or Good Will. That way I can repurpose and reuse for people who are in need. Both create jobs and you can deduct donations on your taxes. It helps everyone and doesn’t take Too much time. Some will even pick it up! It’s all good.

Unless you have GREAT clutter you may be financially disappointed. Craigslist, eBay, or garage sale are ways to get rid of the good stuff. They each take some effort and, as I said, mostly the cash is minor compared to effort. Habitat For Humanity, Good Will, and Salvation Army are good places to unload your clutter and get a receipt so you can claim a tax credit. Next to last resort is to haul useable stuff to the curb. In my neighborhood there are people that I never see but will cart away most anything useable. Lastly, we have bulk trash pickup first Wednesday each month. I'm sure that your neighborhood has similar.

We throw a garage sale every spring. Everything else just gets donated. It really helps control the clutter build up.
