Learn Them and Avoid Expensive Air Conditioning Repair Services
There is nothing more frustrating than a malfunctioning air conditioner in the middle of the summer. In order to avoid such bothersome situations, you should have your system inspected on a regular basis, by professional air conditioning repair service providers. Unfortunately, not all homeowners do this, and they end up paying huge amount of money on AC repair.
Here are some signs that your system needs immediate assistance.
1. The Fan Is Not Working.
Each AC unit is equipped with a fan which is designed to circulate air. When the fan breaks down, the entire system is compromised as the air exchange doesn’t take place anymore. The first thing you should do is to unplug the unit, otherwise it will freeze up. Next, open the front panel of the unit and check the fuses. If you’re lucky and find a blown fuse, replace it and restart your AC unit. The fan should start right away. If not, call for an air conditioning repair service.

Hi John Sorry I mistakenly posted my comment before I could finish editing.

I wanted to add to your list of the common air conditioner problems that includes

    1. Inside unit leaking water: I once experience this problem and I thought some tubes where just broken inside the unit, but after my wife insisted that I clean the air filters, I did and the problem went away.
    2. Portable air conditioner filling with water quickly: It could most likely be a result of the dirty air filters. But someimes when the Ac unit is being used for the first time in a room, it can do that. But by cleaning the air filters, the two problems should be sorted out most likely.

Inverter AC manufacturers generally make rugged, high quality products that last for years. If your air conditioner fails, begin by checking any fuses or circuit breakers. Let the unit cool down for about five minutes before resetting any breakers. If a central inverter AC compressor stops on a hot day, the high-pressure limit switch may have tripped; you may be able to reset it by pushing the button, located in the compressor's access panel.
