AC barely blowing through vents

My AC is on, but I can only feel any cool air when I touch the vents, and it is barely blowing at all. I looked at my cooling unit, and I can feel cold air coming out through what I believe is the fan, but it is not pumping the cold air through the vents. Has anyone encountered this?

When did you last change your filter? If the filter is fresh, this cries out for a professional HVAC contractor. You should be having your system serviced every year anyway.

When was the last time it was serviced? It could need coolant added. The vents could be clogged. It's not a job for amateurs. You could accidently bend/damage the heat exchangers or other parts.

If this is for your house itā€™s possible it could be frozen up. Clean or change your filter. Turn off your cooling leave your fan only and allowed to unfreeze.

if itā€™s for a vehicle change your cab filter. If it doesnā€™t have a cab filter then the coil needs to be cleaned.

    Good Luckā˜˜ļø!

No. But are your air return vents open? When I moved into my house the previous owners had ac filters in all 3 air return vents. My unit is 14 yrs old so I had my blower cleaned and serviced and all ventangle cleaned.

I found this quote online: A dirty blower, above, can decrease the amount of air that comes through yourAC vents. Your air conditioning system relies on a blower to pull in air fromyour home, run it over the evaporator coil, then push it back into your home as cold air. ... A dirty or clogged blower wheel. A malfunction with the blower motor.Jun 21, 2017

Thanks all, I live in an apartment so I can get it serviced, I just was hoping for a quick fix. I have had cold air in the past month and run my AC a lot, so I think freezing/clogging is the problem!

if it keeps happening, the apartment complex should replace that unit. Unless your electricity is included in your rent it is costing you much more by the until not working properly not to mention it will keep breaking down. If the air flow isn't happening but the unit runs, it could need coolant or the fan is not working.
