My central air is not being pushed through my vents...

I can hear blowing (and feel air only in the kitchen, a sound I've not heard before?) the unit is a year old. All filters have been cleaned and the outside unit has been cleaned. Why is the air not blowing through the vents when I clearly hear a fan?

Yikes! It's too hot for that! Have you checked the ductwork? If air is going out only one vent (and all the other vents are open), it sounds like your ductwork has come apart, & or has been crushed, & or has something living in it.

Check to see if you have vent doors in your lines that could be closed. Make real sure your return air supply is open..

The fan you hear is in your inside blower unit/furnace. Is the thermostat set for cool? Is the fan in the outside unit running when set to cool. If the unit is only a year old call the installation company. It definitely is under warranty.

Is the compressor running? That is the box outside. If it is not running I would call whoever installed it.

Patricia ReynoldsHometalker - Is there access to all your duct work. It may be that one on the ducts have come a loose. Check the attic, basement or crawl space of your house
