Vented Range Hood

If you’re not going to do this job yourself, who do you even call to vent a range hood? That was my first question. After asking around, I found out that HVAC professionals (heating & air conditioning) are the ones to call to do this job.
It's important to find out which direction your joists run, this will determine the way you run the ducting to the outside..
Be prepared to deal with sheetrock repair. Our ceilings have a textured finish that had to be recreated once the drywall was patched.
Overall, the entire job took about 4 hours with the professionals doing it, so with the proper tools and plan it could be done in a day on your own!
