Broken china tier

I have a gorgeous antique china tier that the bottom plate has become damaged in. The brass pedestal has broken away from the plate and is no longer secure. Any ideas on how to fix it?

This is just off the cuff, but I wonder if you could use that plumbers epoxy putty that you use to fix holes in porcelain sinks. Totally worth a try because that is just beautiful!

Also use a brass washer at the base of each plate. Will prevent chipping

How about trying clear E6000 adhesive? It darn near holds anything.

Google "decorative metal washers and you will find a lot of quite pretty ones that would also cover the damage and add more support. They can be painted to match the plate also.

NOt a metal washer!! Use a plastic or rubber one!

Elizabeth is right. A metal washer may put too much pressure and crack it further. But you can use a rubber the under a decorative metal one and get the best of both worlds!

If I were going to use glue, I would use a product called Amazing Marine Goop. It is made to withstand water and sun ... I do yard art and this is what I use. I have used E6000 but it wasn't as strong in the long run.

I don't know why I did not think of this before, but instead of a rubber washer you could use a thick bead of that silicon or silicon-rubber caulk for around the sink. It would also be a perfect fit and you could make it as thick or thin as you need. You could probably press the metal washer into it and let it dry, then cover with a decorative one. The stuff comes in clear and in white.
